Hi all, would anyone have sugestions on how to get rid of or clean up this effect I am getting. I seem to run into it a lot with indoor lighting.
This is 15,000 passes and 8 hours of render time. This is PMC and will try pathtracing now. If I only use HDRI I dont get any of this fuzzyness or noise on serfaces, or what ever you want to call it. This green light is a Texture RGB emitter set to power of 2 and it seems unrealistic to me , but maybe its me?

I had filter size set to 1 and am now trying 1.5, custic blur was .5 and hot pix is set to 0

Nice render - love the red SSS on the alien.
The green effect you have could be because that surface is rough (there might be a bump map on it). Set caustic_blur to 1 might smooth it out a bit too. You can also experiment with the specular pin on the surface and reduce it a little, or adjust the roughness. You can also adjust the sampling rate of the emitter (check the Octane Standalone manual for what this does).
