Hello guys,

I got another problem !

I'm trying to make an animation with directlighting and so far, everything was going fine.

EB 110 003-2.jpg

I added a movie of lightnings as .jpg sequence in texture emission on a sphere to get an animated lightning to light my scene.

It works well in the LiveViewer and C4D's native viewer, but when I launch an animation render in the picture viewer, the texture emission stays on the first frame.

Any thoughts to debug this ?

Thanks by advance !

Also, when I render frame by frame in the picture viewer, the sky texture is updating as expected.

yes, correct. only material updater checks the image sequence changes. Also your usage is wrong. No need to use a emission in environment. Just put a hdr/exr and use a colorcorrection for gamma

Thank you Aoktar, but I don't see how your answer is helpful for my problem.

Anyway, thank you again.

For the emission in the environment tag, I was just trying things to resolve my problem.
I thought that maybe the emission animation could work with the environment tag. But obviously not.

i tried to mean actually it doesn't support the animated sequence in environmenttag. But i'll try to add for next version.
But in anim. rendering, shouldn't be any problem

Okay, but in the file I attached in the first post, can you tell me what I have to do to get my jpg sequence being updated when I render a movie ?

Thanks!

The only way to make it work at the moment is to resend all data for each frame, but of course it's taking a while for each frame.

And I have more than 3000 frames to render !

Please somebody help!

you don't need to resend for updating textures. What's wrong with?

Err, I'm using a sphere for lightning, I put a shader with animation texture emission on, but when I render the animation, the texture emission is not updating.

You can see the problem in the file I uploaded. (if you don't focus on the sky with the same shader)

Thank you.

Somebody for an idea ?

Cause right now, with "resend all data" it's a 5 days render for my 3000+ frames, it's a bit long !
