Hey am trying to connect to my AMI and yes i typed it in manually but am getting black screen!Please help!

Hi Jeremiah - are you using the ORBX Cloud Console AMI? If so, you will in fact see a black screen until you load an application into the VM (as stated in the documentation on http://aws.otoy.com/docs). This AMI is intended for developers. If you are looking for a desktop environment to install apps into, please use the Octane Cloud Workstation AMI (Autodesk Edition).

Yes its the ORBX Cloud Game Console..please how do i load it up?Help me out please!

The ORBX Cloud Console AMIs are meant for single app streaming, and are different than the Octane Workstation AMIs (which boot into a user friendly desktop environment). Developers can install their own app on the ORBX Console AMI (in admin mode/RDP if admin rights are needed) and adjust the permissions and environment that best suits the app being streamed.

The URL that connects to the instance can then start up a process by calling START=appname;

You can try using some of the built in shell apps on the AMI as notepad by adding START=notepad.exe; to the URL.

When I type in the following url http://aws.otoy.com/?connect=//<Public DNS>:8090/?NOCRYPTO=1;STATUS=1;AUTOLOCK=0;WAN=12;GUID=<GUID>;START=/usr/bin/glxgears;VSRC=ogl I get a complete blank screen.

I am using a Ubuntu game console. Usually the glxgears should show up in the browser but I get a blank screen. I sshed into the G2 instance and found the following output.

It would be great someone could provide a clue about what is happening here.
