As mentionned in my previous post I just moved to 1.20 SA / 1.2 PI, doing a clean installation: uninstallation of previous SA version, deleting all 3Ds Max files, installation of 1.20 SA and copying 1.2 PI files in my Max folders.
For a reason, even though I can spot the difference with the previous version in term of speed (as announced), the Max interface is strictly the same as before: I still got the material preview bugs, the inverted bump mapping, etc...
Its quite confusing because we did a fresh installation on a workstation at the office (so with 1.20SA / 1.2 PI directly) and these bugs are fixed as announced.
How can I fix this?
3DsMax Plugin 1.2, no fixed bugs

Are you sure you use plugin version 1.20? Could you show screenshot of your render settings tab?
Here we go:

Well, basically it's exactly like if I was still under 1.17 plug-in version...
The material preview in the material editor slate do not update automatically. To update them I have to un-check the "auto" tick box and then update them manually. Quite annoying especially when it comes to color adjustment.
As I said, on the workstation we installed at the office (3Ds Max 2012 as well) this bug is fixed, the materials are automatically updated.

That is strange. even in 1.17 preview should work properly. What gpu do you use?Leiurus wrote:Well, basically it's exactly like if I was still under 1.17 plug-in version...

I assume you're referring to the Octane log that you launch from the Kernel type slider?
If it is that one I opened it and it doesn't record any error...
EDIT:
The version I had previously installed was 1.13, not 1.17, sorry for the confusion.
