1. doing this with bump can create some fireflty with pathtracing and or converge very very slowly( still noisy at 64000 samples ). pmc render it correctly but when animating object pmc useless because of pmc flickering.
2. when using bump on object texture that produce anizo become visible in close up view. ( with texture , bump intensity will affect aniso so it cannot be changed for close-up renders ).
using texture work, but add some constrains to deal with.
so
i vote for anistropic material.... anyway it was my first request in 2010 HAHAHA !!!
