Hey guys, I know and love that Octane works spectrally, but it's limited to the visible spectrum. I think it would be wicked to render with radio waves or X-rays that interact with materials differently than the visible spectrum.

I was playing glow-in-the-dark mini golf and really loved the way the golf balls looked under ultraviolet light, but realized it's impossible to render like that.

Lights should be able to emit any wavelength, and then the camera should be able to see any wavelength too. I'm unsure how to display it, maybe that's part of the camera response. This could bring about a whole new level of rendering and simulation.

Also I feel as though octane is already built to be able to handle this because of its amazing physical basis.

Because of your name and avatar (Ok, so I actually don't know why)

I pictured you as Optimus Prime saying:

"Feature request initiate, Autobots, roll out!"

Hehe.

I love all giant robots (especially TF)...but for me, Goldorak > Optimus Prime!

Thank you

Btw what is the difference between the users with green in their name and orange in their name? They both say Octane Render Team but it seems like people with orange are the actual devs and that green are just like us?

Young Cain: "But Master, when will I become Orange?"

Master Po: "Grasshopper...Such things are not possible. We will always be Green. Expect nothing more and your life will be full of wonder!"
