I was playing glow-in-the-dark mini golf and really loved the way the golf balls looked under ultraviolet light, but realized it's impossible to render like that.
Lights should be able to emit any wavelength, and then the camera should be able to see any wavelength too. I'm unsure how to display it, maybe that's part of the camera response. This could bring about a whole new level of rendering and simulation.
Also I feel as though octane is already built to be able to handle this because of its amazing physical basis.
