It looks like there is a possibility to make algorithm for sunlight caustic.
We will work on it.

Very nice. But if I may go slightly off-topic - probably the most asked feature regarding the sunlight system is to be able to use it together with a HDRI. Or, if not for illumination, at least being able to use the HDRI for reflections, because sunlight produces completely uniform & dull reflections... Just something to keep in mind if you are doing research with sunlight.

Karba, that sounds perfect.
Best news since the DL improvements made by abstrax.
This feature and a shadow catching material along object motion blur and Octane is ready for any production.

it's PT or PMC?
ciao beppe
I think that was path tracing. This was a little trial of Andrey. It's not architectural glass, but although he is cheating a bit it looked quite good. We'll see if his approach is robust enough for you guys ;) (I surely hope it is)

Cheers,
Marcus

What is the progress on this topic?
Is this a feature that is to be expected in the upcoming releases?

Thanks for the update
