Have been testing octane on a Dell Laptop with limited memory.
The last beta performed ver well and definately was an improvement over the first. With the release of beta 020.1 there will be more improvement.

While testing i found a few areas that im having trouble and would appreciate any help.

mirror surfaces,
chrome (actually mlody47 just solved that one)
ground planes
tires specular or glossy

for the rear view mirrors, just use a glossy material with the roughness slider all the way to the right,
and specular colour / float pure white, eg 1.0

for tires, a glossy material with black diffuse and very faint specular, like 0.05 or something, and roughness low, something like 50.
play with those and you should get there...

Cubix Visual & GPU will announce a product later this week which will attach to your laptop PC or MacBook Pro with an ExpressCard 34 adapter. It will support up to 2 x GeForce GTX 480 cards, 2 x Quadro FX 5800, 2 x Tesla C2050, or any combination in between. :)
