I live in Italy, and we are waiting for Christmas Eve. I have received a few hour ago a mail with instructions for download and activation.
The mail begins with:

We have processed your order and your OctaneRender® license(s).
To download and activate the software, follow the following instructions,
CHAPTER 1 is for the OctaneRender® Standalone Edition, and CHAPTER 2 is for the OctaneRender® for 3ds max®:
NOTE for Combo Packages: If you have purchased a reduced price combo package (OctaneRender® Standalone Edition and OctaneRender® for 3ds max®), you must first activate OctaneRender® Standalone Edition explained in CHAPTER 1, and then activate the OctaneRender® for 3ds max® software explained in CHAPTER 2.

Download and activation instructions:
* Go to our home page
http://www.refractivesoftware.com/ and click on 'Forum' in the top navigation.
* Click on the Commercial Product News & Releases (Download here) forum in the Licensed Customer forum group.
* Click on the OctaneRender® 1.0 beta 2.52 [CURRENT] >>> download here <<< thread, at the top of the thread listing.
* Scroll down to 'Download' and click to download the relevant package for your platform.
* Install the software by launching the downloaded installer. (Windows users should right click and use 'Run as Administrator' to start it)
* Go to our home page
http://www.refractivesoftware.com/, and log in to our 'Customer Area' with your activated username and password you used to purchase your license(s)
* Go to 'OctaneLive Accounts' and there you will find your 'OctaneLive Username' and 'Password' you must use to activate your Octane Render software.
* Use the OctaneLive Username and password to activate the software during the first launch.
