Thank you! But this works only within the same emitter not with separate emitters for each group. I also do not understand what assigns the particle geometry to the groups.thanulee wrote:Does this file work for you? I tried with many groups, all modes of group distribution, geometry as children etc.dasmodular wrote:I tried 3 xpGroups and it doesn't work.
Please have a look into the attached file.

Not sure what u are after, but groups exist usually when using a single emitter. In any case check the file below, it works with 2 emitters.dasmodular wrote: Thank you! Emitter1 has 2 groups assigned, emitter2 has 1 group assigned. Emitter2 needs a null as placeholder in octane obj tag but other than that its working proper.

Thank you, but that's not the problem as long as you use the groups on the same emitter.hazenkind wrote:Here is a little Example. R25, Fused 1253, latest octane.dasmodular wrote:I tried 3 xpGroups and it doesn't work.

Try 3 emitters each with a separate group like in the file in my second post.
I guess assigning the particle geometry to a group is the order you drag the objects into the slot, but thats not clear to the user.
Reordering doesn't change it, you have to delete the particle objects and assign them again.
It does work when I use Nulls as placeholders for the other objects in the Octane tags, but thats just a workaround.

As in the prev example needs a NULL in the octane obj tag. Not sure why something with IDs but it does work proper with one emitter in each group.

Thank you! I tried that and it works, but it doesn't make sense to me.
Overall it is a great feature like every other one where the Octane plugin is working together with other third party plugins, but this still needs a little more usability.

Didn't you read my reply? My answer explains the issue. It's a new addons and with your helps it can be improved. But it simply works as in picture. Needs to put objects to tag as used group numbersdasmodular wrote:Thank you! I tried that and it works, but it doesn't make sense to me.

In this version when I pan or rotate inside LV , the objects disappear. Something has changed on navigation side from previous versions? I tried previous version and its not behaving same.
Cheers!
