Thank you for the answer Beppe, do you mean that the texture issue is only related to the C4D integrated plugin (planar mapping)? So, if I use the Octane standalone I don't have any issue ... probably because I must assign unwrapped uvw anyway, isn't so?
thx
p.s.: I hope otoy will speed-up the exporting and voxeling processes for heavy poly scenes ... sometimes the render time is slower than exporting!

win 8.1 x64; nvidia 770M driver 340.52; octane standalone 2 + c4doctane 2.

no sorry, exactly the opposite, if octane doesn't have an option also the plugin doesn't have that optionrenderfarmsrl wrote:Thank you for the answer Beppe, do you mean that the texture issue is only related to the C4D integrated plugin (planar mapping)? about the exporting time, in my opinion the plugin and the last octane sdk have speed up a lot the things, now we have the ability to update only the materials or the geometry per frame and multi core support during voxelization process

probably, if the emission channel is active we should only choose between blackbody-emission or texture-emission nodeCésar wrote:Hey Aoktar,
I can't add an emissive texture to a material, I try to add a FloatTexture to the Texture field of the Emission channel, but it do nothing, it don't add it.
Is there something I do wrong ?

Re,Hi
Correct me if im wrong, but the gamma cursor seems to be inverted like ?
gamma 0.45 should it not be more dark and crispy than 2.2?
gamma 0.45

it's exactly how it works on standalone since the very beginning, but i don't know why
anyway, in octane you must set the hdr gamma to 1 in order to have the correct illumination, gamma >1 are useful for getting more contrast and less blurry shadow
ciao beppe

Hi, I have a big trouble.. in my I7 system with Geforce 670 with Cuda 5 drivers.. no I've not material preview in the material editor..
If I create a new Octane material I get a empty grey.. the same if I make a material conversion in Octane Material.. empty grey..
The render still correct.. Somebody has experimented the same problem?
I have tried to reinstall Cuda 5 driver and Geforce new driver..but is the same..
I don't know if the problem is the Cuda drivers.. Octane C4D plugin work with Cuda 5?
Please help me.. Thanks
