I did re-install Octane directly to C:\ but the first test from it worked now it does not anymore, tried to install octane again 2 times and back to the original installation path and even if I try to load an obj it stop with this error...getting on my T..s

edit: Found that for unknown reason 3dMax2010 did kidnap the opengl driver..I believe, as I tried again without Max being open and it worked again...... :?:

still can't use the latest 0.22 RC1 as it is full of artifacts..waiting for a fix from Radiant

Vray material conversion would be great!

EDIT: as I mentioned somewhere before, here you can find a free max script that converts materials from different rendering engines (Vray, MR, Maxwell, Scanline...) Perhaps it could be used as a foundation for a built-in conversion feat., or just added as part of the workflow, since it's free?

Hi kilaD:)

Did you manage to find out is it a bug in script or I'm doing something wrong? :)

Cheers,

I was aware of this since early release but I don't think it convert vray lights properly if not at all, maybe i'm doing something wrong but I think that Octane does not handle Light Portal and MTL yet...or is it double dutch?

I have already started on a material converter and a octane mat lib combined.

Octane doesnt suport anything but a direct light, the script can be altered to accept vray, brazil, any specific light as well ofcourse.

When arealights etc are implemented in Octane, yes

I'll look into vraymaterial conversion, shouldn't be that hard to implement
