It's happening on some setups when render AOVs are used. Work around is to disable the "show passes" parameterblackcat321 wrote:I have encountered a serious problem where the image cannot be stored after rendering is completed, and closing the picture viewer will result in c4d not responding.
I tested with many different projects, and they all trigger bugs, especially when a project renders output for the second time (output overwrites the previous image), it will appear 100%

Octane C4D plugin has missing features for SDF objects in Mesh to SDF option from Octane Object Tag. Missing features are :
1. border padding outside
2. in the import/conversion settings at the top called "Border thickness (voxels)"
3. border thickness in/out parameters
we don't have such features : viewtopic.php?f=24&t=81415&start=30#p425019
Also there is export to ORBX issue while using Mesh to SDF

Hi there,
what was again the problem, if octane never finishes a rendering?
Thought there was a solution for that problem, but I don't remember.
Render is ready, but status still saying "Render progress..." and it never stops/saves.
"Show Passes" already disabled!
regards
Mike

Disable the Denoising Pass.
Optimizing your scene can really help with this. You are running out of VRAM in this situation.

this happens also with smaller Scenes. VRam is not the problem!
I encountered those problems in combination with AOVs and Denoiser since longer time.
Hope, this will be fixed soon!
thanks

The more Octane needs to hold in VRAM, the more of a potential issue VRAM usage becomes. So did you try disabling Denoiser for this situation? If so, what was the result?

You'd have to send in your scene to [email protected]; use File > Save Project with Assets... archive the result, and send it in, along with your ticket.

Hi again,
suddenly, after updating C4D to 2023.2.2 my viewport is completely black.
Every Object with any Octane-Material appears black in the viewport.
I can only see whats goining on when I switch to "layer-color-view" or "lines mode".
Any idear, what could cause that?
thanks

Viewport or materials in the viewport? Both are not same thing.miohn wrote:Hi again,
