Disable the Denoising Pass.

Optimizing your scene can really help with this. You are running out of VRAM in this situation.

Hi,

this happens also with smaller Scenes. VRam is not the problem!
I encountered those problems in combination with AOVs and Denoiser since longer time.
Hope, this will be fixed soon!

thanks

The more Octane needs to hold in VRAM, the more of a potential issue VRAM usage becomes. So did you try disabling Denoiser for this situation? If so, what was the result?

Hi,

if i disable "show passes" and disable the "Denoiser" its working!
But not meant to be, right? I mostly need and want the denoised passes 8-)

You'd have to send in your scene to [email protected]; use File > Save Project with Assets... archive the result, and send it in, along with your ticket.

Hi again,

suddenly, after updating C4D to 2023.2.2 my viewport is completely black.
Every Object with any Octane-Material appears black in the viewport.

I can only see whats goining on when I switch to "layer-color-view" or "lines mode".

Any idear, what could cause that?

thanks

Viewport or materials in the viewport? Both are not same thing.

Your viewport is fully filled by objects, so viewport is not black. Covered objects are with black textures. Spend some time to play with content to gather more info.
