This usually happens when you have set your LiveViewer to OCIO<> but the look you want to use is not there (because you changed your ocio.config file or opened a scene file that needs a different OCIO View that is currently not present).UON.Visuals wrote:Can anyone tell my why I get this error? For the past few releases it pops up as soon as I hit render on the live viewer window even on a blank default project.
But I hit the render button again and then it works! On my render queue when one render finishes, the following renders all get errors because of this (until I manually open them and hit the render button twice, then hitting render in the render queue they work fine)
I suspect it has something to do with my OCIO environment but I tried both setting one and leaving it blank and it happens either way

Hmm, currently fighting a bug that prevents me from using the current plugin build: Sample Count and Depth reset to 0 whenever opening the Render Settings (in the Overwrite Kernel Settings, Live Viewer works fine).
I can adjust the sliders, but they will reset the next time I'm returning to the Settings.
C4D is the the newest version, 2025.1.3.

Thank you for pointing this out. This will be fixed in the next buildTim0042 wrote:Hmm, currently fighting a bug that prevents me from using the current plugin build: Sample Count and Depth reset to 0 whenever opening the Render Settings (in the Overwrite Kernel Settings, Live Viewer works fine).

@Chris: Ah, perfect - thank you for looking into this!
One more question that came up: It's great to have a proper installer for the plugin though it currently defaults to a location in the C4D installation directory and creates a plugin folder there. This still works but seems to be the old way of doing things, while newer C4D has a plugins folder in its preferences (so under AppData/Roaming/etc.) while also giving users the option to define a custom one in some external location.
With that in mind, would it be possible to allow for updating/correcting the installation path in the installer? Right now, I can manually input the path to the correct preferences/plugin folder but the installer shows it as invalid.
As a workaround, I can always manually move the folders of course, but this would mean losing the benefit of having an installer.

Yep it should default to prefs/plugins
Hi guys,
Also RedShift is installed in the same location: In this way it is installed in Admin mode, while AppData/Roaming/Maxon/.. directory is an User folder.
ciao,
Beppe
