ok nice,

on the other hand I rematched that I have no error with the shadow catcher feature, when I use only the 2080ti by unchecking the 3 1080ti.

Maybe this is due to the mix of different hardwares?

What is curious is that this does not happen in the standalone or in the previous version 2019.1 of the c4d plugin?

I cannot know, it's renderer related under hood. We only do connection between host and core. Rest is up to renderer.

roinigo wrote:Hi! You should try with newer Nvidia drivers. I upgraded to 436.30 and it solved the issue for me.
thanks for answer, but same result with 431.86 and 436.30 drivers.
Ok, It's not a plugin issue. I've reported to Octane devs. Btw It doesn't happen one me, maybe you do something different. Or it's related with your hardware.
Thx for reporting it aoktar!
I have the same issue. With one or both gpus active, and also not depending on which driver I use (the last try was with 431.86) , with R20. Hope they fix it soon.

Is there a way to roll back to 2019.1 RC3 r2 ? When I try, I get the message that that build isn't supported anymore, although I just used it today, before installing the 2019.1(stable).
It would be really neat to be able to use RC3, until the shadow catcher issue is fixed...

I got the very same issue. Windows 10, 64, Driver 431.86, 3xGTX 1080, R20. Shadow catcher crashes Octnae in C4D.
Standalone works flawlessly.

Standalone may work flawlessly that doesn't mean SDK doesn't have problems. When we use the Renderer in a host there's extra factors to cause problems. For example; material previews or Host software's Opengl/Gpu usages.
Make a test without octane previews are enabled or with software opengl.

Hi and thanks,

it works by disabling the materials preview. :D
Overview in the material manager remains grayed.
Image

on the other hand when I test only with the 2080ti, everything works even with the feature "material preview" enabled,
but the preview becomes black, which is not a normal behavior compared to the old version where the preview remained white?
