Visible on scattering volumes
is missing in Octane emission in latest R5 build.
CPU – i9 13900KF, 128GB RAM, GPU – RTX 4090

i have had this when using custom AOV's / comping in octane, i originally thought it was a deadline issue but turning off "show passes" when doing the final render seems to fix this issue, using 2022.1.1-r4

Need to watch this a bit longer, but unchecking "show passes" seams to fix this problem!

I think you didn't understand the logic and problems on my explanations. Do not spend your time with these, nothing to do on this topic. Just disable geometry updates if you don't want a restart on rendering.

I've tried the same simple scene in RedShift in C4D. Restarts doesn't happen in Redshift the same as in Octane.

My scene has two boxes, one plane and one Octane area light. This is my simple scene where the issue happens.
CPU – i9 13900KF, 128GB RAM, GPU – RTX 4090

We don't this issue with very simply scene like you say. Please record a full screen video to show it

The render layer option doesn't work in this release.
In this example render the cude on the left has Layer ID 2.
