Could you post your scene? I cannot estimate every parameters of your setup. I'm not much expectant to solve this issue because looks like a behavior come from C4D's update system.twik25 wrote:Hi Ahmet,
I'm running into a situation with the Inheritance tag using octane scatter. With the tag activated, as soon as I move my mouse over anywhere other than the LV, Octane goes into an instant refresh cycle. As soon as I turn off the tag, it doesn't do the refresh loop. I know this issue goes back to 2000.2.3 (I had that running but I installed this latest one and it was still an issue). Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tim

I cannot reproduce the problem with your scene. It's refreshing on every click but not on mouse movements. Here the problem comes from Inheritance effect because it's generating update effects on every user interaction. There's not any safer way to detect the fake update messages.twik25 wrote:Sure. Thanks for the build, Aoktar! It works really well!
I am having issues, though, with the C4D take system: I don't think it is specifically related to the last Octane build: Sometimes changing one simple parameter from any element makes C4D crash - e.g. changing emissor's power.
I noticed having lots of takes make the file + Octane more unstable (over 10 crashes per day). Did anyone else notice related Take issues?
Regards,

Stupid question but important in specific workflow where only node editor and Octane window are opened - is there any way, shortcut to frame selected object in Octane Live Viewer ? Standard shortcuts doesn't work here.
ahh I forgot that I had changed frame objects behavior to "Alt+O" from "O" and Octane support those without "alt"

Please try to repaire the Microsoft Visual Studio (Visual C++) 2015/2017/2019 installation, in general solves the issue.
