Rendering Artifact with Max Tile Samples

I couldn't reproduce any issues with the original scene, but regarding the other cases: Are you using network rendering? If yes, please disable the option "minimize net traffic", but also be aware of the consequences (see "Overhauled work distribution network rendering" in viewtopic.php?f=33&t=51679 ).

I was not using network rendering in my case.

OK, turning off the "minimize net traffic" option seems to solve this for me -> Thank you abstrax !

Ok, I updated to R2. The original streamlined scene I uploaded renders fine. The full version of that scene, with hair and a lot more geometry, still renders with the artifact. That scene is here if someone wants to try it...
