Hi, I'm interested in buying the license of the plugin for 3dsmax, but I'm sure it is the following: using the Octane directly in 3dsmax I'll be able to render animations without having to open the program Octane every frame, as with the exporter, or it renders and saves the same time as with the rendering of 3dsmax? need of explanation before I had the plugin.
It works the same way standard mentalray or scanline works (or more precisely like iray)
You can set up the animation the standard way, it will work inside 3ds max without opening the standalone plugin (there is an option to open an octane render window, or render in standard way - which is used for animations and exporting transparent backgrounds - I like browsing in the window and exporting from there mostly) for animations you probably have to limit the number of samples in octane render settings, if you dont want each frame to last a lifetime - I guess this is a bit manual, or semi automatic - you have to guess if all frames will clear up in 500 or 16000 samples
it all works - from my tests anyway
