Hi there,
I've been using Octane Render inside of 3ds max. I'm currently on 3DS Max 2011 x64. I'm having the problem right now where when i'm texturing an object and i need to calibrate or change the positions on using "edit UVW" modifier , i see only my UV maps but not the materials/texture i'm using on the background (eg,i'm texturing a hand and i do see the UV of the model but the background is black after pointing it to show the image texture or in this case,the skin texture.)
The only way i know if the materials/textures i'm using is correct is when i view through the Octane Render viewport. Is this a bug or is there something wrong with my settings in Octane Render?
Thank you so much for your help as i'm pretty much smacking into a dead end which ever way i go and my last resort is to re-install my 3ds max.

yes...i'm sorry about the mix up in terminology but i'm more used to Maya than 3Ds Max but its what i use at work.Anyway, is there a way to show the image on the UVW editor as right now when i choose the image texture i'm using,all i get it a black background.
