Can't see 3DS Max material editor and UV editor

Hi there,

I've been using Octane Render inside of 3ds max. I'm currently on 3DS Max 2011 x64. I'm having the problem right now where when i'm texturing an object and i need to calibrate or change the positions on using "edit UVW" modifier , i see only my UV maps but not the materials/texture i'm using on the background (eg,i'm texturing a hand and i do see the UV of the model but the background is black after pointing it to show the image texture or in this case,the skin texture.)

The only way i know if the materials/textures i'm using is correct is when i view through the Octane Render viewport. Is this a bug or is there something wrong with my settings in Octane Render?

Thank you so much for your help as i'm pretty much smacking into a dead end which ever way i go and my last resort is to re-install my 3ds max.

Do you use a latest version of plugin?

Hi there,

i'm able to see the materials/textures i used on the material editor but what i wanted to know if its because of Octane Render that the texture image doesn't appear on the "Edit UVW" window as a background image.

Ah, You mean unwrap editor?

yes...i'm sorry about the mix up in terminology but i'm more used to Maya than 3Ds Max but its what i use at work.Anyway, is there a way to show the image on the UVW editor as right now when i choose the image texture i'm using,all i get it a black background.
