Hi,

You don't need the CUDA toolkit on Windows to run Octane. Do you need it for something else? What nvidia driver version do you have?

That problem was fixed, I updated the downloads in the original post.

ROUBAL wrote:Added to that, I encountered a file format error on textures in ocs files made with the previous release... The hdr environment is not loaded.

I also want to report a problem that already occured on previous releases : after loading a mesh, if you just click on the mesh node, nothing happens in most cases on big scenes (small scenes seem to work fine), and sometimes a crash occurs. To make sure that the render will start, it is necessary to keep the left mouse key pressed until the render actually starts in the render window.
I can't reproduce the environment issue here. Are you talking about saving in 2.57 and loading in 2.58? What kind of file do you use for HDR?

Those big scenes do they have heavy geometry or lots of textures? Or are you rendering at high resolution?

-Hi, Yes, a scene saved in 2.57 and opened in 2.58 : the HDR image not loaded is in hdr format.

-The last scene requiring to keep the mouse button pressed is around 450MB of my 3GB cards, so not that much, and the resolution is not high : 600x1000 (vertical image format). Few images texture : one image for sky background on a plane and one image for a marble floor. The other textures are procedural.

I can't give the file (it is a work for a client). ocs file weights 618 Ko, and obj file 65MB.

Just spotted a bug. If you delete the object node that is currently rendering then the render engine freezes. I am unable to select another object node in order to start that one rendering.

Is it possible to copy and paste individual material parameters? For example can I copy the roughness from material A and apply it to material B. I tried this morning but couldn't get it to work.

I couldn't work out how to copy the rendered image to the clipboard either.

I am loving the preview feature.

it might be already discussed but why don't you put medium input for glossy material ?

preview swatches seems wery well optimized !

the change of light power settings is good too

bye

@steveps3, individual params can be always copied as values, just click on it as if you would want to change the value and copy it.

The copy to clipboard doesn't seem to work. If I click the icon and then do Ctrl-V in GIMP, it doesn't work.
