Yep very good shadows as Sam pointed, it will be great update for sure. About 7 million model. Is it one object or a scene? What was the memory usage, what lighting HDRI, or sun/sky?

the 7 million poly model with the 64bit octane version is another scene that i haven't posted any renderings of. i'm still working on it (it's a car) and i'll publish my final renderings some days after beta2 is out of the door when i have some free time to work on the scene.

trhis image is just to demonstrate the sunsky light daylight system.

Awesome! Can't wait to try it out.
Will my MacBook Pro (nvidia 9400m) actually run Octane now?? ;-)
FYI - Cubix will have an ExpressCard/PCMCIA version of its GPU box available end of April, enabling MacBook Pro users to connect up to 2 full-length, full-height, double-wide Fermi cards (or, any other OSX-compatible NVIDIA GPU cards for that matter) to their current laptop computer. :)
