Hi all,

I am now confirming the following platforms for our beta2 release:

- Windows 32bit with Cuda 3.0
- Windows 64bit with Cuda 3.0

- Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard) with Cuda 3.0 (Requires Nvidia Card)

- Linux 64bit with Cuda 3.0

I can render a model with 7 million polygons with the 64bit version. ;)

The current ETA for the release is early next week.
It will also support the new GTX400/Fermi cards, according to the Cuda 3.0 documentation.

Awesome! Can't wait to try it out.
Will my MacBook Pro (nvidia 9400m) actually run Octane now?? ;-)

it will but don't expect much, your 9400m GPU is *very* slow and has almost no video ram.

here's another sneak preview of what's coming in beta2.
this was a quick test, i did'nt tweak the materials a lot just a few minutes of basic tunings.
there's a bump map on the floor, and it uses the physical daylight sun and sky system, no HDR map used.
render time was about 10 minutes with supersampling.

it's an old scene by BdB.
