Maybe try this grass: http://shop.pure3d.de/vegetation-models ... grass.html

Its free in my shop. you can scale it down and scatter it with some scatter tools. it will add rendertime because it uses an alphamap but on the other hand its lowpoly and you can do a dense lawn with it. :)

Cheers, I just registered and got the grass - nice!
Because I imported it into Blender, I'll have to assign a material to it but I think I've got what I need.
I'll use your grass as a (very good) starting point - it'll save me lots of modelling time ;)
