Hello,
I'm new with octane and there is no manual I can learn this software from so I have to rely almost exclusively on video tutorials and forums.
Whenever I'm using emitters in directlighting mode I get certain "unbaked" areas. such as the example posted. Can you please explain what do I have to correct?
Many thanks!

Nasty dots filling the rendering in certain areas

You mean the white pixels?
I would try to simplify the emitter, best to use only a single plane.
Look that the emitters aren´t cut any other polygon so they are fully outside.
Play with the samplerate in the emitter settings.
And if nothing helps, try to increase the max samples.

I can't draw a single plane with this software... yeah, the emitter has volume. I'll assign a different material on one side alone and this is it. As for the samples, I stopped the rendering at about 6000 samples which is a lot even for this resolution.
Thank you kindly for your prompt help. I will keep you informed with the progress I made.
