This seems like a lot of geometry for octane to handle without instancing how much vram it took?
i5 2500K 4.7Ghz | Ram 4GB 1600mhz Kingston | Palit GTX 470 | Win7 64x | Octane with Blender 2.59
if I remember correctly, 800MB (2500000 triangles +or-)... Keep in mind that in addition to the hedges there were also the roof tiles and the trees.
I have nividia gtx 560ti 2gb and render at full resolution took 2 hours for 1000 samples.
