Honestly, we spending COUNTLESS hours for waiting WITHOUT KNOWING how much will it take..

Yes .Voxeling

We are rendering very heavy scenes and keep checking Octane voxeling process is simply effecting our health...we cannot sleep properly at long nights... (is it finished? no it is not, go and check...no you check... )

Is there a way to show how long time we should wait for voxeling process..

hours? What are you voxelising? If I have a complex render then it might take a couple of minutes.

we :) our company..

couple of minutes?... we are rendering huuuuuuuge scenes... big construction - resort projects..i ll upload a scene soon...

Somehow we are keeping everything within 2GB limit (our current scene size is 1.85 GB) but voxelizing simply killing us. May be because there are 4000 and more objects we have in every scene..

How much system ram do you have? It sounds like you are paging to disk.
I would go for 12gb if you are regularly maxing out 2gb vram with your scenes.

i imported a 25 million tris cave mesh into octane and it was around 10 minues of voxelisation. nothing more using 24gb of ram. so its not that long. a 2gb scene is done around 2 minutes maximum.

I use a Crucial SSD with 256GB for project files. Was a good investment. My collections (texture models some backup) is stored on a common HDD. But OS and working area with tools and so on is on the SSD.

I have 12Gig of Ram, and usually my scenes are not bigger than 500Meg, and it takes long time to import, not hours, but minutes, sometimes up to 10 or 15mins. So I don't think the only factor is paging the disk or using Ram. I think it depends on the number of objects, the way they are constructed, the amount of textures and their sizes, and maybe some other things that am not aware of.
I asked about those factors a year ago or something on the forum but didn't get any answers.
