Is it possible to use video textures when exporting for animation?

Nope...
After reloading a scene in Octane, Octane use the materials from the ocs file.
A change in the obj/mtl will also have no effect.
One solution is to change one texture at every frame.
e.g
Frame1 from your video will be texture.jpg
If Octane is finsh, the export overwrite texture.jpg with frame2 from the video.
Octane then load the changed texture.jpg and render the next frame of your animation.

At the moment there is no way to do it with the exporter. And as face already said, it's not trivial, but also not impossible. In the very end you "just" have to replace an existing texture file with the new version and Octane would then use this one for the next frame. Of course, the best way would be, if the exporter supports this. -> I have made a note in my todo list.

Marcus

This would be a real hammer. Think about the comping possibilities. 8-)

Thanks for the reminder. I just didn't get around to do it yet. After beta 2.5 I will do some more work on the exporter. A few small changes and a bug fix have already accumulated.

Cheers,
Marcus

I thought I had tried image sequences and had good results... did you try this? C4D has good image sequence support.

It doesn´t happens because Octane use the mtl-file only on a new scene...
