definitely multipass-rendering. ;)
To often there are only tiny little changes to make, which would be much faster in post, when we would have different passes to work with.
(for example: shadow, reflection, z-depth, AO, GI, speculars etc.)

If not possible (now) for pmc and pt then it should be possible to allow multi passes for Direct Lighting (at least).

Yep, a more flexible DL mode (if with real GI engines cannot be achieved) would be quite an asset for Octane.

Proper animation support. I am a blender user and have been for years, I have unlike other made the transition to 2.5 and onwards. For me in my archi-viz work its very important to be able to render animations at great quality and in good time. Currently the exporters for blender to octane has to export every individual frame as a seperate obj file; Export -Open Octane - Import - Render -Export -Open Octane - Import - Render etc... This adds alot to render times. Having proper exporting and importing tools would be GREAT! Just importing tools would be great! Most programs can easily export an animation to a compatible format.

I don't think this is possible yet and I don't know if it's requested already:

sun spread angle to get sharp to softer shadows.

I have another requestion... a simple one.
When I'm rendering I can zoom the viewport by ctrl+scroll.... the problem is I want to see which percentage I'm at. Like am I on 100% actual pixels size or 50% so on.

+1 for proper animation support, because at the moment octane is really useless for animation. The extra time for exporting and importing every single frame, is too high. At the moment you faster at rendertime in your 3d program than in octane.

And +1 for multipass rendering.
