so that means that the card is instaled properly ,why is octane not showing two cards ?

i think you must disable physics for both gpu in order to use all in octane :roll:

Physics is off. i will try now to install the card on my second workstation and see what happend ,

its time to dump one of my machines.

Please Rico, can you post the screenshot of the nvidia contropanel of the new machine?
my gtx 590 is just arrived and I'm in your previous condition, only 512 cores are seen :(

This is how it was supposed to look like. I wonder about same thing, the issue with your other machine...perhaps lack of SLI capability of the mobo?

thanks ribrahomedesign and Timmaigh, my mobo is not good enough, it seem that i will work with 580 instead of 590 for some time :(
i've found this, but i don't know if is the solution :roll:

ok, after an afternoon spent in putting on and off all my cards, i've found the solution.
The SLI in not a problem, my motherboard is only crossfire, the problem was the GS8400 in the PCI slot that failed the nvidia driver installation. I've put it in a drawer, attach the monitor to one 590 and now I have 2x GTX 590 with 4 GPU for octane, not bad ;)
