I think that the physical sky — one of the most important of benefits of physical render. Really want to see him in the new version.

You mean as you push the turpidity slider to the right it introduces clouds into the clear blue sky , sort of thing ?

How about a Rain slider, or snow slider?

Maybe even a thunderbolt or tornado slider as well?

Sorry ..... I went slightly off the rails there !

Gotta go .... the nice men in white coats coming to take me away !

A tornado slider could be used also for realistic displacement. 8-)

Daylight with clouds would be nice tho, but this is not a top priority thing, IMO...

I'm not talking about it. I'm talking about the ability to change the atmospheric properties. (humidity, ozone, etc.) They form the shades of shadows, reflections, attenuation of the intensity of color as the distance from the object, the difference of brightness at the zenith and the horizon. This is possible only with the physical sky.

Physical "attenuation of the intensity of color as the distance from the object" should be alike to volume material, which is not yet present and I don't think it will soon as it's very different to surface.
