Hi, I try a file from BA with a node setup to fake GI.
http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthr ... odes/page4
Then I was curious to render the scene in octane and the first thing I saw was the softer shadows in octane.
I could not find a setup in octane with harder shadows like it is in bright sunlight.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks, mib

The sun as a lightsource is not a point, but a disk with a certain diameter (viewed from the Earth), so the shadows are never perfectly sharp. This becomes more evident the bigger the distance between the object and its shadow.mib2berlin wrote: I could not find a setup in octane with harder shadows like it is in bright sunlight.

Ah, thank you, i remember read a discussion about control sun size in octane.
Is octane correct in shows more diffuse shadows in evening settings, diameter of sun grows up seemingly during athmosphere effects?
Tnx again, mib
