OctaneRender® 1.024 beta 2.44 (lin/mac/win) [OBSOLETE]
I didn't get much time to work on our new CUDA framework yet, but will start full-time on it this week, probably today. Then I hope it's only a few weeks, to do it. All I can say is, that I want to have this solved as soon as possible, too, because building for two CUDA versions is a pain...3DnuTTa wrote:Do we know roughly when we will be able to use Octane with Cuda 3.2 for multi gpu's?
We can not from all I have seen run GTX 580's with Cuda 3
Really want to see how this thing hums when fully used
Thanks,
Josh

I noticed that when you have lots of imported macro materials from .ocm files, saving the scene becomes proportionally longer - for something like 8,9 imported macro materials it needed ~25 seconds to save the .ocs!
And please in the next revision, make the power default value of loaded images 1.0 - it's the only sensible default value. Having to slide it each time from 0.9 to 1.0 is annoying

Deleting an input pin crashes v2.44
Procedure: create a macro material, assign an input pin, save the scene, reload, try to delete the input pin
The attached .ocs crashes if you delete the texture input pin in the macro.
Does anyone know a workaround? I have some inputs in a bigger project, that I would like to get rid of.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Thanks for the feedback. I just found and fixed the problem. It's a problem when those input nodes have been read from an OCS file. Unfortunately I don't see a workaround, but if you can wait few more days you will be able to delete those input pins with the next release.matej wrote:Deleting an input pin crashes v2.44

Can that have to do with the multi GPU devices?
