Hey Guys,

I decided to do another creative thing this week and I made a desktop image for a client of mine to give away on their facebook and twitter sites.

Pretty basic just, their icon, an emitter plane below that, a flat plane below using a photo for bump mapping that has rivets and bolts, etc..., and 3 lite panels emitting Red, Green, and Blue.

enjoy

I don't really like it as much with the sub surf applied, but I played arond with it a bit, and ot something that wasn't all bad. here's with some manual curve manipulation and a subsurf.

A little bit more of light and a cool Bloom effect would be perfect.
BTW nice logo!

imo you need to add some more loopcuts to get rid of that "smooth" behaviour on the top and get back that "flat" shading. maybe you first need to change the mesh topology or maybe better: create the logo out of extruded curves and raise the render resolution of the curve until all visible edges are gone.
