Thanks for the info face, now I have problems with materials, I had an object with two textures, a diffuse one, and a bump map, I deleted the bump map, and rendered with Octane (with overwrite project checked) and Octane shows two materials, instead of one, so doesn't update the deletition from blender, I don't know what happens, the script is getting mad with the materials updates.

Blender's normal maps are used as bump maps into Octane. The script doesn't go crazy with materials, check the generated mtl file and the command line options before claiming something is wrong.

The following is untouched output directly from blender (except pathtracing), with a diffuse texture and a bump map.

tungee, Octane cannot render strands so you need a base mesh on which you apply a particle instance refering to your particle system. Finding the appropriate shape is quite tricky, but it works. On page 2 of this thread you'll find a render I made using this method, and another one from Steve on page 4.

thank you for your effort yoyoz.
soon - possibly next week - we have an exporter that does more than Octane does :)
perhaps then we get you unofficially on the Octane team doing all the little usability improvements people have been asking for... ;)

Thanks guys, I'm pleased you appreciate the plugin.

*** Important notice ***
Due to another API change the plugin will crash with builds 34610 and higher. You better not upgrade blender at the moment as I've no time to find a fix at the moment.
