Likely more ignorance than a bug, but my vertex color map is mapping incorrectly in the live viewer.

What is the correct workflow?

Hi,
Thanks for sharing the scene.
Please have a look at this solution: I have used the C4D "Convert Vertex Map" command to split the Vertex Color tag into three Vertex Map tags for R, G, B channels, then used a Channel merger node to reconnect the three float vertex maps into one: ciao,
Beppe
