Hi, I've been attempting to learn Octane X standalone on my Mac. Recently I've been exporting some renders and have compared the color of the render to the viewport. I have noticed that I just couldn't get the same color response from the render as I had done with the internal octane viewport.
Today I worked out that an HDR setting is enabled by default, at least on Mac and standalone. I'm not sure, but unless the Mac is a MacBook Pro or attached to and XDR display the color output can be inconsistent. I'm not sure this setting should be enabled by default.

Hi,
I'm with you, first thing to do in OctaneX Standalone is to go to settings/Color management, and disable the HDR Viewport option: I think it was introduced several years ago for supporting retina display, but now with ACES/OCIO support it is obsolete.
The good news is that you only need to do it once.
ciao,
Beppe
