I have a scene with rigged and animated meshes used in a scatter object. Is it possible to convert the objects to instances or normal meshes to be used with other c4d tools? Essentially just octane placing the objects in the scene. Is this a thing that can be easily done? I saw some import/export/orbx time broohaha but I'm not sure it will work with animated meshes.
I just need it to place the objects on the geo with scale and transform inherited form octane Scatter.
Convert Scatter to instances of animated objects?

basically this only works if you are using a default scatter setup. Which you never would. The reality is when you switch to display object. the objects are all in completely different places. its not accounting for a vertex map or noises in position fields etc. So its basically pointless.
Hi,
What about exporting only the Scatter to Standalone in .orbx animated mode?
Then extract the Scatter from Standalone in .abc format with "Unpack package" command, and import it back in C4D.
ciao,
Beppe
