If you go in preferences and unload the plugin blender 5.1 crashes, that with 36.1

I noticed as i use an addon to load unload plugins.

Thank you

Do you mean 31.6?

I uninstall the addon each time I upgrade to a new version.

That's the order of operations I perform:

- launch the server
- launch Blender
- disable the Octane Addon
- uninstall the Octane Addon
- install the new version
- close Blender
- open Blender

Never got a crash.

Could you please describe your steps and the version you're using (Blender 5.1 only works with 31.6)?

Thanks!

Are you using the OpenGL backend? Do not use Vulkan.

Oh changed to Vulcan just when I installed 5.1.1 to see the faster compilation to viewport and I might forget it there.
Will check

Thank you

I've tried several times here, no crashes.
I noticed this in your log:

Substance 3D addon for Blender: Substance Tools Connect Success [0.0015 seconds] - Application [Blender] with process id [25476] and port [56482] is now connected to the Substance Integration Tools # Info
Substance 3D addon for Blender: Addon Server Start Success - Substance Addon Server started running in port [56482] # Info

Can you please try to disable this?

Also, are you absolutely sure you're using the right server?

Be sure to download both the server and the addon from this page (for the most updated addon, please look into the last reply to the post):
