Hi all


The settings for Meshlets and Virtual texturing are in the plugin settings. (Easy access in the dropdown menu: Octane -> Plugin Settings)
When set to manual (which is default), you can rightclick StaticMeshes and Textures assets in the content browser and
turn them on by going to the Octane section. (This is similar to how nanite is turned on for meshes)

Note that you need to reload the virtual assets in octane in order for settings changes to take affect.
Note: There are currently stability issues with both Virtual Texturing and Meshlets. When encountering render failures it is adviced to turn virtual settings off

Octane for Unreal Engine

Changes:
  • Fixed various minor material conversion issues
  • MRQ ORBX export now activates Octane on tier 2
  • Refactored how specular is converted from Unreal to Octane
  • Fixed various minor decal material bugs when no nodes are connected to material inputs
  • Blackbody node now converts correctly
  • Removed unnessesary warning
  • Fixed rare crash that happened on certain materials
  • Fixed parameter collection bug
