When I start C4D and then Octane from the menu, you can see in to bottom left area, that Ocaten tries to activate the PlugIn (OctanePlugIn activation...). This takes some time and results in an error message "ERROR: Resolving timed out after 8001 milleseconds res:3" (see screenshot).
My subscription is paid and active when I check on the Ocaten-Website. The standalone does work, is "Activated" and "OctaneLive: connected".
How to fix? Thanks.
C4D PlugIn wont activate

Hi,
it could be a DNS issue.
If I remember well, the user has solved by switching to the DNS service provided by Cloudflare:
https://1.1.1.1/dns/

Having the same issue today - changed the DNS settings, also used a VPN, tried installing different versions of Octane, updating the Maxon App, installing all updates to drivers and system, and its still happening...
If we remove the Octane folder from the Plugins folder for C4d, it stops happening. Also its happening on C4D versions R20 and 2025, so not just down to the version of C4D.
Is there any further information or solve for this?
Thanks
