just to be clear I understand correctly - this works for the current 2025.3.1? or just for 2025.2 versions?

edit: just got it to work in the most recent version. thank you!

Dropdown windows in Cinema 4D 2025.3.1 like File, Edit, Create, Modes, etc. autoclose after a few seconds. This problem goes away when I uninstall the newest Octane version. Anyone else has this problem?

Hmmm, not this time but it does happen for me once in a while (dropdown windows auto-closing). So far I couldn't pinpoint it to a new C4D version / Octane / Nvidia Drivers / something else. It seems to sometimes disappear after a restart of C4D? I've never had the problem for long at least. Sorry, not very helpful. =/

One bug I stumbled upon that is easier to describe: When I convert a material to a submaterial, some of the settings reset to default - namely the bump height and the BRDF model. There are also some node connections that sometimes break, but I need to test those more. Otherwise, the node editor works well right now for current C4D, thx for the quick update!

//EDIT: Ah - when adding layers to a Composite Texture node, existing layers can sometimes move, along with their hierarchies. When the layer nodes don't yet receive any inputs it's a good quality of life feature to move them automatically, but once they are connected to other nodes to the left, it can get those jumbled up I think.

Thanks for this, I now went through all settings and identified 5, which we will fix:

- Dispersion Checkox
- Nested Dialectrics Priority Value
- BRDF Mode
- Bump Height
- Coating Layer IOR
