Maybe try a clean install of the 260.99 driver. It should work - at least it does here. Are you using any other graphics cards? If you are using a Quadro card, please install the very latest Quadro driver (266.45 I think).

Cheers,
Marcus

It's probably down to User account control in Windows 7.I've had problems with Photoshop getting access to it's scratch disk with UAC on.I am currently running with it off.

@katerlake :

Are you using a Cubix box or an other external hosting device for GPUs ? I encountered the same trouble, and I may have found the reason.

I reported several times today (Marcus, I sent you the comment below in PM).

I have done many tests around 2.4x and Cuda3.2.

I know that current version for Cuda 3.2 doesn't allow multi GPU, but in fact even with one GPU enabled, if it is an external GPU, it is not usable ! It seems to be the reason of all my troubles : Graphic cards in my external Cubix box are not usable by 260.99 ! Even with previous versions of Octane (2.3v5 for example) !

Currently, I can only render on my internal weak GTX260 (few memory and unresponsive UI).

Have you tested on your side on a Cubix Xpander ? I bought this expensive device because my workstation can't host big graphic cards, and currently I can't use even only one of my two external GTX 480 !

I have uninstall the cuda 3.2.1 driver three times with an reboot, but after new installation of the cuda driver is the problem the same.
Has anyone an "how to" to uninstall the cuda driver?

This is not funny.
Yesterday i deinstall my graphic driver and i test it with cuda 3.2.1 and the 260.99 driver --> octane dont work.
Today, i deinstall the 260.99 driver, clean my system and windows dont install any driver. So i install the 263.99 driver and, after deinstall my cuda, i install cuda 3.2.1 and octane dont work too.

Must i reinstall my os to use octane with cuda 3.2?

Maybe 'deinstall' is not enough... use a sweeper:
Use Nvidia Uninstaller, restart in safe mode, use (Guru3D - freeware) Driver-Sweeper as Admin user, reinstall newest driver...

I boot my system as admin, i deinstall the driver with the sweeper, i clean my registry as admin and i reboot and install, the problem is the same.

My understanding is that you don't need to install CUDA for Windows, you just need to install the NVIDIA video driver. Maybe the installation of CUDA is causing an issue.
