Hi!

I'm trying the new 2025.1 and I was llooking for a way to apply Vectron on custom models. I found some videos for the previous versions, but maybe the new one makes the process a bit more easy?
...like... can I create a vdb from a volume object and use it as a vectron object?

Any tips or clue about that will be welcome!

We are currently working on a mesh to sdf object that will work with the vectron system. We are aiming to add it in the next build

Hello!
The first question - may be something goes wrong with Light Pass Mark? Please see screenshot.
In the scene there're some light area planes under eave and they are assigned as a 2 group, and at the wall's Octane Object tag group 2 is disabled.
As a result - it works as expected at Live Viewer, and doesn't work at Picture Viewer.

The second - a few versions ago the ability to add alpha channel to a beauty pass while saving PSD through Render AOV manager is gone. Why so? Could you fix it please?

Hey! :)

In compositing when i try to add the 'mask with cryptomatte' node the c4d is instantly crash. If i open a scene where this node is already there, it works perfectly, but when i want to add it crash. C4D version is 2025.1.1 but i tried with 2024 too and the behavior was the same.

I've ran into an issue with this new build where motion blur doesn't work properly when I send renders to Cinema 4D's Render Queue. The issue is resolved and motion blur works properly when I use "Render to Picture Viewer". I've had it happen the last couple days on a few different project files. Reverting back to 2024.1-R3 to see if the issue still persists.

I'm on Cinema 4D 2024.1.3

confirmed, there is an issue with "Mask with Cryptomatte" node, we are looking into it.

@bepeg4d it happens even with my blank default scene haha. The same one I've been using for years, so anytime I open any of my scenes I get the error:
Mesh creation time = 5.39 ms.
Tried to access null item
Tried to access attribute via invalid ID A_COMPATIBILITY_VERSION (438)
If I get rid of my custom default scene and use C4D's blank scene, I get this annoying OCIO error (but octane live viewer still renders with no errors at least):

I'll attatch my blank scene here and anyone else can try it too and see if they get the error. I suspect it may have something to do with OCIO but I tried disabling OCIO and still get the Octane error

I've narrowed down the problem for you guys! It's the Octane Settings themselves causing the issue. I loaded the Octane settings while in C4D default blank scene with no changes to them, saved those as a preset, then opened up my custom blank scene that doen't render and loaded that preset. Worked on first try!

So there's some Octane setting that's causing issues with the last few plugin releases

Another problem. Now that I changed my color management settings to ACES, the MI fractal pack vectrons won't display at all. The Octane2022 fix doesn't make them sho up either.

In order to use them, I have to set my color management settings to default linear SRGB

Displacement in world space is not working in this build. Is there a trick to get displacement working in world space on some clones or is this a bug?
