Render region works fine in IPR but if I do an actual render it says Octane doesn't support render region. I rarely use "Render" as opposed to IPR so I'm not sure if this is a bug or if its always been like this--although if it works in IPR, it seems like Octane supports render region?
Any possibility to get render region functionality enabled for a full render and not just IPR?
No Render Region?

The RR for Octane is limited as the sampling is disrespected. Anyways its fast so we think its not required tbh.
As a workaround, we can set the Low sampling and do the full render.
cheers

what do you mean by "sampling disrespected"?
My specific use case example is when I'm spitting out a bunch of passes for a bottle render and one little line of text on a label needs to be updated. Due to having a bunch of render passes, I'd rather not manually save them out from IPR every time I'm updating the render. and since it's such a small section being updated, I'd rather not wait on a full 8500 pixel render of a glass bottle with caustics to update to noise free, which CAN take a decent amount of time.
I believe render region works in C4D, so was hoping we could get it in Maya too, if it was trivial to add.

Thank you for the clarification!
We were able to understand how our C4d plugin works.
We have logged a ticket to investigate this!
