Getting a bit worried here as well. =/KeeWe wrote:Is there any info from Otoy how the C4D plugin is handled in the future? Ahmet did such a great job... and now it seems it's getting pretty quiete.
Features announced (or already present) in Octane standalone look great. But if development of the C4D plugin slows down, while Redshift continues to get more and more integrated into C4D then there will be a widening gap in usability, as amazing as Octane is as a renderer.
Development will not be slowing down. I've just passed it to Otoy's team, they are working on. I'll not be much visible in forums unless it's really necessary.Tim0042 wrote:Getting a bit worried here as well. =/KeeWe wrote:Is there any info from Otoy how the C4D plugin is handled in the future? You know what otoy needs for each plugin.. .for transparency to users…. A Trello Board..
Do what the redshift team did.. it would bring so much good will!

Erm… far be it from me to nag, but it's been two months without an update. This is very uncommon for those of us who've been using Octane for, ahem, a while.
Meanwhile, The Professor (the magnificent Raphael Rau) has had to turn to Blend to show new features are they are not available for Cinema4D yet.
2025.1 looks cool, but it seems us C4D people on the last bus
Oh, and I hope Aoktar, you are enjoying your new job! Thanks for everything

But it would be for the C4D Octane plugin only for now.
UGG..yeah thats soooooo annoying to look at vs a Trello board.. thats more advertising than is it development!… uggggg my eyes!
keep in mind like any good kanban board.. Trello cards can be moved around easily and comments added and moved from one build to the next if things get bumped. right tool for the right job i would say…
