C4D 2023 Freezes after renaming an object

Sometimes it just hesitates, unresponsive for a few seconds up to a minute, sometimes it remains unresponsive until I close the Live Viewer or Asset Inspector though the dock icon pop-up. Either way, it's not completely locking up C4D or the machine, at least for me.
I don't know if this is actually different than previously reported. Maybe people just weren't waiting long enough, or using the dock to close the problem windows.

Checking in in September here, I still have this issue whenever I have activated Octane and have the Asset inspector in my layout.
Cinema 2023.2.1 with Octane 2022.1.2
I would love to have this in my layout, still hoping this will get fixed in the newer version.

I couldn't find the reason of this crash. There is not any proof that's on our side. But I found a trick to avoid it: Disable "Auto mode" for Project Asset Inspector. I would love to you report it to Maxon to get some deep investigation. Hi guys. This problem has been plaguing me recently with C4D 2025. I know this is an old thread, so I'm not sure if the issue has been solved yet, but I have narrowed down the culprit being the Project Asset Inspector inside C4D being docked in the workspace. When I remove mine the issue is gone. And I noticed that you have it docked also.
Please verify if this is the case on your end as well and maybe we can get this issue fixed.

I cannot reproduce the issue here even with Project Assets Manager panel docked and visible, in C4D 2025.1.2 and c4doctane 2024.1.2:
I can change the name of the objects then press ENTER without issues.

Ok, now I can reproduce it, you need to load the layout with Project Assets manager window docked in before loading the scene.
