I have just came across with a problem while testing it with an old scene. And sadly I was able to re-create it 3 times.
Pathtracing on , Daylight on, alpha mode on
Rotating viewport gave the problematic screen below. The alpha problem occured after enabling the daylight mode.
Tried to recreate it with a single material node with pathtrace and daylight on. It didn't happen. It seemed OK.
Now, I tried it with another old scene the problem occurs again.
Keep environment option doest not help.

Edit----
My Nvidia version is a beta - v 266.35 . (I think I must stress that out)

hey all first of all: great news!

...is there any shedule for the win32 or linux64 release?
sorry for asking, really dont want to strees you guys, but if there is much delay to the win64 version i will try to get a win64 os soon to use it for the 2.4..

Thanks to the Octane team :D

I can't get the new version started. I get an error message:

cuGLCtxCreate_v2 startpoint for the procedure could not be found in nvcuda.dll (roughly translated from my native language :D )

I've no problems with older versions. I installed the latest drivers and cuda 3.2 (64 bit).

My specs: windows 7 64bit, Geforce GTX 460

Sorry for being so dense :D

Excellent work, especially for the speed, load obj is more fast and for me the time of render too.

No worries, we haven't forgotten it, we just couldn't finish it in time and we add it in a future release.

It basically just adds an alpha channel, but doesn't touch the RGB values. This way, you can render out the image as before, and you also get an alpha channel for (limited) composition. As a simple alpha blend on a gray checkerboard may cause unexpected behaviour, we are not doing any alpha blending in the viewport. But have a look at the saved image in your favourite image editing tool and you will see what I mean.

Cuda driver actual 263.09
Cuda Notebook driver is 260.99
Standart driver 260.99

Recommended 260.99

Do we need the actual Cuda which is another Version number or the standart driver?

We have tested beta2.4 mainly on GeForce cards and there the latest driver 260.99 was sufficient. For Quadro cards, the very latest driver 266.45 made beta2.4 run. Older drivers didn't work (beside development drivers).
